Metformin/First Period

Well, yesterday I started my period for the first time in months. It is also my first period since stopping birth control. My cramps are god awful and my flow is heavier than ever. If it continues like this, I swear I might rip my entire reproductive system out.

Also, I started metformin today after my new doctor decided it would be best for my T2 and PCOS.

Any tips on what to expect?

I’m on 1000mg. I take it once a day during a meal, she recommended dinner.
