IMPLANTATION BLEEDING?

Could this be implantation bleeding? I awoke yesterday feeling slightly crampy, it would come and go and I thought it was odd since although, my period is irregular. It is ALWAYS late, never early. Later on in the day, I went to the restroom and when I wiped I noticed a small amount of pink and brown on the toilet paper and immediately thought implantation bleeding but trying not to get my hopes up. I went to the bathroom again a couple of hours later, and again small brown and pink streaks of blood accompanied by more discharge than usual that was very thin and milky white and a little slimy. My period is now due in 8 days but was 9 yesterday and something somewhere said that I wouldn’t have implantation bleeding 9 days before a missed period, that it wouldn’t be until about 7 days before my missed period. Is that true? Could this still be implantation bleeding I’m experiencing?
