Dating before finalize divorce?

do you think a man or a woman who has left their spouse, no longer lives in the same home and no longer shared finances should be free to date or be sexually active with whom ever they please? 
or do you think because they signed a piece of paper, they belong to their spouse until a court says they can be free?

They should wait to date until the divorce is final, not because a paper or the courts "own" them, but out of respect for their former spouse and future relationships. A divorce is stressful and often messy, and it's unfair to bring someone else it that drama until it's over.

Why not wait. It takes more than a few minutes to purge someone - the anger, hurt, frustration, etc. - out of your system.  Doesn't seem fair to the new person nor to the person getting the divorce because you cannot truly move on until you do this.

I dated my husband when he was technically legally married still. His ex wife had been gone for 2 years at that point and hasn't seen the kids during that time at all. He was lonely and a single dad and couldn't afford $2,000 to retain a lawyer and track her down, I didn't really care 🤷 He deserved love

If the person going through the divorce is honest w/ their potential dates & lets them know their divorce isn’t final yet then I see no problem w/ it, their potential date can decide for themselves whether they want to be w/ someone who’s still entangled legally, I met my husband online 3 weeks after his divorce was finalized, he chose to wait until it was finalized before he created his profile online, I personally wouldn’t have dated him if it wasn’t finalized

It’s all relative to the situation. If there’s still feelings for either one of them, then out of respect you might not date. 
My partner is still technically married because they just haven’t had the time to sit down and sign papers etc. the ex wife went away for six months recently. 
It’s not a situation you can judge unless you’ve been in it yourself.

Ehh not wait, it took my dad a year and a half to finalize not really fair to be in the process that long and not get to date or what not (he didn’t and still a year later hasn’t but still) 
I mean considering a grace period obviously not a month after, but I believe typical divorce even not fighting is 3 months

Its up to the couple. My guy and his ex both dated while waiting out the divorce to be finished. it was agreed upon by them.
