EX SENDING DEBT COLLECTORS FOR ME.

Alright guys. I need help. Basically my ex kicked me out in December with no explanation or reason. We were together for three years so naturally I was blind sided and heartbroken.

Well fast forward to now, I haven’t talked to him in months. And yesterday he reached out via text (I didnt even have his number saved anymore because he was so nasty towards me after things ended) Well basically he let me know that I owe him (or technically his friends) $400 that I don’t have right now for when his friends fixed my car at their shop OVER A YEAR AGO and “if I wanna be immature he’ll have debt collectors contact me” 🙄 this was SO long ago and this is the first thing I’ve heard of it! I just paid tuition for school and really don’t have the money right now but also I don’t feel I should have to pay! I paid for hundreds of dollars worth of things for him/i that I never got back! Plus he’s been such a jerk when I’ve done absolutely nothing but be nice no matter how nasty he is to me!

I guess my question is what should I do or how should I go about this? There’s a VERY LITTLE part of me saying be a good person and figure out a way to pay it. But the other part of me says we’re not together anymore, that fee is under your account under your name, I don’t owe you anything! 🙄 but I don’t need debt collectors on my ass either! HELP😩
