Muslim marrying in church?

My SO is catholic and I’m Muslim, we talk about marriage sometimes and he always talks about getting married in a church cause that’s been his dream since being a child. I was wondering if it’s possible for us to do that without me converting cause I want to make him happy 🤷🏻‍♀️😕

I got married in a Catholic church. My husband wasn't catholic at the time. He had to become catholic before the priest would marry us.

You would both have to be Catholic to get married in a church. But another alternative would be to get married in a chapel and have an officiant perform a Catholic ceremony (so not a priest). That may be a good compromise?

Yes you can get married in the church. You can have a full mass wedding. You just cannot take the Eucharist if you are not Catholic.

I highly doubt they’ll allow a Muslim to marry in the church. You’d likely need to convert.

You can get married in a church but you cannot have a catholic wedding. (Which would be fine by my books as catholic weddings take like 3 hours). You would need to find a church that will allow you use of the chapel, and then find your own officiant. But then he can have his dream location and you don’t have to convert 🙂
