How many baby outfits received at baby shower?

I am trying to not over buy clothes before both of my showers. For those of you who have had your baby shower, did you get a good amount of clothes for baby or did you just receive a few outfits?

I dont know about other people but simply by asking people I know with babies if they had any newborn clothes they were looking to get rid of I've acquired two huge trash bags full of pretty nice newborn clothes

I hardly got any acctully. Was expecting a lot more, but I got all my big stuff and almost everything I need!

I got a basket as a gift and all the clothes that I got from one baby shower filled the whole basket. Even tho no one bought clothes according to the registry, I got a lot!!

I just had my baby shower, and we got TONS of clothes in all different sizes (except 9m for some reason lol!) and from what I've heard from my friends who have babies, that's pretty normal! Ladies just love buying baby clothes I guess lol. It seems like lots of people will add a onesie or little outfit to whatever other gift they're giving. I'd say to hold off buying much before your showers.

From my baby shower I got maybe 12 outfits and all were different sizes from NB- 12 months

You won't get THAT many. Possibly enough newborn but any other sizes no, most likely not. My MIL is garage sale queen and she's given me TONS of new/gently used clothes in newborn all the way to 3t. I've had to buy very little. Shoes are probably the one I have issues aquiring. A lot of sale pages on fb specific to baby stuff, lot of women will sell clothes in lots so you could get a bunch of clothes that way pretty affordably
