When should I contact a pediatrician? Not due till December 20th. Just don't really know when I should do this step.

I’d pick a one or two (unless you’ve already decided) to go speak with early in your 3rd trimester. I only had to meet with one for my son and I loved him, so it was an easy choice. One of my favorite things about his clinics is they have night and weekend hours - babies do not get sick Monday-Friday 8-4. They’ll have you fill out some general paperwork so they aren’t surprised when the hospital calls to report your baby’s birth. You’ll feel better because you’ll know the person checking in on your baby.

Definitely in your third trimester because you’ll want to make sure they have rights at your hospital so they can visit baby when he or she is born.

My OB last time brought it up when the appropriate time would be... I'm going to use the same as my son so I'll probably talk to her about it if we end up in there before the birth lol
Ask around to find the ones people trust, check their credentials, and set up an interview to see if they will be a good fit for your family... Good things to ask are their positions on circumcision and vaccinations... Whichever side of the fence you're on it's good to know that they are on the same side as you (or like my son's doc neutral about it and just wants to provide the best care whatever the parents decide)... Even if you're having a girl ask about circumcision because you could have a boy in the future and it's good to know out the gate, plus you can give a better recommendation to Mom's asking about Drs in the future

Don't wait too late cause you don't want to risk them not taking baby due to not accepting patients at that time.
