Removal

I just had my Skyla iud removed. I want to share my experience with the Skyla. The Skyla was inserted may 2017. The cramping and longer periods was expected(10-17 days long with constant flow). About 3 months in the long periods haven’t change one bit. With the Skyla I have experienced PMS which I never had before. I was turning into a mean monster when my period was approaching. Crying one minute to laughing to being a bitch all within an hour. My up and downs was causing problems in my relationship and with myself. I had maybe 5 days of no flow or spotting before it would start again. Went to the doctors to get it checked. I was told it could take up to a year for my body to regulate itself again , I leave it in May 2018 comes around the periods have shortened themselves just a little.( 7-11 days of flow with another week of spotting). By then I’m am over this Skyla I finally got enough ball to go in today and ask for it to be remove. The removal wasn’t bad it took maybe 5 minutes and hurt a lot less then getting it in. I feel free.
