Short period- infertility?

I have a really short period of just 2 days with normal flow sometimes my period last just for a day and very light spotting. This has been going on for like a year now previously i had 4 to 5 days of regular flow. We have been trying for 1 and half year with no luck. Is it normal to have a short period. Could it be the cause of infertility. Does anyone else have conceived with such situation. Btw my periods are regular. Please share your experience
