I work in retail and someone told me customers always ask for me by name & they told me the statement above, what do they mean?

I think it depends. Impressionable means easily influenced or swayed, so it can sound as if a person has no mind of their own or can be easily persuaded into something. It cld also mean the person is open to new ideas, options, and opinions from others. If it was given as a compliment and the conversation was going well I don’t think the person wld think that far into it and would take as a positive comment.
