is not going to college bad?

i recently graduated but im on DACA so i was not able to apply for federal aid ( FAFSA) i was on top 25% of my class and got accepted to 8 universities. The thing is that i didn't want to leave town . so my dream college is private and is literally like 20 mins away from where i live they gave me a $72K scholarship but since i didnt qpply for FAFSA i still had to pay 56K out of pocket. i come from a low income family so there is no way for me to get that amount of money. to be realistic i will not be attending college. All i see is my friends already moving in to their dorms and stuff and im just here heartbroken because that is not me....My mom told me that it is okay.. but for me it's not. Honestly what are some other options you guys recommend...

It’s not a bad thing at all, but if you have your heart set on continuing your education then there is community college to start to save money.

There’s also scholarships specifically for students with DACA or undocumented. There’s scholarships for everything that you can combine with the other scholarship.  As long as you meet requirements and write essays. You should continue your education though.

I know daca students who received financial aid from my university so I think you should talk to a counselor about in what ways you may qualify for financial aid or a scholarship. Not going to college isn’t bad, especially if you can’t afford it. But I would look at different financial aid options and universities depending on which field you may want to work in in the future (some require a bachelors of even masters, some may not).

For profit schools offer student loans and banks can offer loans as well. I guess the real question is: how badly do you want to be a college graduate? 
Wanting the “college lifestyle” and wanting a college degree are two different things. You can achieve a degree without living in a dorm or pledging a sorority 🤷🏻‍♀️

You could look into trade school or community college programs for more affordable options. No need to go to a fancy private college but think about your desired career path and what you need education wise to get there

It all depends on what you want to do as far as career and what kind of opportunity you have in your town since you don’t want to leave. College isn’t for everyone and you don’t have to go to school to be successful. My father and cousin are both self made men who started from the bottom at their jobs and now do very well for themselves. I knew I wanted to go in the medical field so college was always my path. You just have to decide what you want out of a career or whatever you decide to do.
