Anyone NOT announcing on social media (Glow not included)?

So it’s our second baby. Family and closest friends know were pregnant, the ones I see often (2 girlfriends). I am only semi active on Facebook (same with hubby) and I really don’t feel it’s necessary to post on FB. I almost feel like people that don’t make an effort to stay in touch with me/see me in person don’t deserve to know! Trolls don’t need to know; people I haven’t seen since high school don’t to need to know; even distant family members that barely keep in touch.
Hubby prefers to post once baby is born. 
Anyone else feel the same way?

We didn’t announce. I’m glad we didn’t. I don’t think it’s anyone’s business, plus my husbands insane ex didn’t need to know until we were ready for her to know. We told our three best friends when we found out and didn’t tell anyone else until we were almost 20 weeks and it was wonderful. We got to spend those weeks being the only ones who knew and it was special to us. We told my step kids (4 and 6) first, which meant their mother knew almost right away. Within the next couple of weeks we told our families and the other people that we wanted to know and now whoever finds out, finds out! 🤷🏼‍♀️

I didn't announce. If you haven't seen me in a while, then you probably have no clue. Such is life.

We feel the same way. If you’re not in our circle, you don’t need to know. Glow is the only social media form that knows about my pregnancy. Neither of us out on FB though, and we have just avoided full body pics and selfies. We are sending out a save the date for our Sip n See, and; this will be the first time a lot of people find out about it.

We live over 1000 miles away from all our families. Facebook is how we stay in touch. Plus neither my husband or I have people on our friends list that we don’t want to know about anything happening in our lives.

You took the words out of my mouth :) we’re pre-writting birth announcements and putting someone in charge of adding the name/weight and stuff and mailing them when baby is born.  If I don’t think to tell you my baby is born the obviously I don’t care about you and you don’t need to know lol.
I’m not going to use my child’s life as a way to score dopamine hits and try to make other people feel inadequate.
