No theme nursery decorated with my craftiness

Be

So... I’m not into pastel pink and I really wanted my daughter to have some unique things in her room.

We had a guest room converted to her nursery and I had recently painted the entire house, sewn curtains and bedspreads - so I really didn’t want to waste any of those efforts and re-make/buy more of that stuff. I decided I’d find/sew/collect things that matched the drapes and guest bedding. And I wanted to go with bright colors to contrast the neutral grey walls - plus we live in FL - so bright, fun colors are kind of our thing.

I made her quilt, popsicle banner quilt, and crib mobile. The artwork is a print from a Jacksonville artist named Sean Mahan, I bought it a few months before baby was even conceived. Im so glad it worked out and absolutely love it. I might add my ukulele and some of my own artwork before I’m done 🍍

Found a mobile that has a music box that plays “You Are My Sunshine”

And a glittery holographic thread to quilt the top of the popsicle banner 😍
