Piercing/jewelry help!

I have a nickel allergy.

Let me say that first lol.

So I’ve had my septum pierced for 8+ years now, and only had jewelry in it total for about 2 years.

I have several other piercings, including navel and cartilage in my ears.

I list those two piercings, because i use the same jewelry metal in those piercings as i do my septum.

My septum is still open and i can put a ring in it at any time, pain free.

However, when i seem to do that about 2 weeks later my nose swells on both exit holes and becomes very red and hot and the entire tip of my nose becomes sore to the touch.

Now, I bought a pack of rings at walmart, which the metal does contain some portion of nickel.

And i attribute that to the irritation i get EVERY time i put jewelry in-my nickel allergy.

Here’s my problem, the same pack of rings i put in both my cartilage piercings and i bought a navel piercing of the same material and i have no reactions. In fact, ive had the same jewelry in for months.

As soon as i take the jewelry out of my septum, im healed in a week tops.

Is the nose more sensitive to metal allergies?

Is the piercing maybe placed too high?

Again, I’ve had this piercing FOREVER. And i always have to take it out around the 2 week mark.
