The problem that I have with the food system here is that we're so wasteful! We waste about 30-40% of EDIBLE food per year. This wasted food could've fed 25 million Americans.  One in five children starve here.  Big chain stores like Wal-Mart and Costco throw perfectly good food away instead of donating to those in need,  it's much easier for them to dump everything.
