So earlier this week I quit my job because it was a manual labor job in a hot factory that had zero air conditioning.

I’m pretty sure on Monday I was hitting the early signs of heat stroke and called my husband to come get me, I’m 7 weeks pregnant and both my husband and myself decided it wasn’t worth the risk so I put in my notice.

Well today my husband was served with papers saying that 25% of his weekly earnings are going to be garnished because of a loan we forgot about from a few years ago.

Before this we would have been fine, but now there’s no way we can get by.... I’m pretty sure I could get my job back but I really don’t want to risk it :(

I have every intention of finding a new job, I’m going to apply to be a sub tomorrow so hopefully that works out, but what I’m worried about now is how long it might take until I’m able to find a new job and actually get paid again.

Before the garnishment we weren’t worried about that..... My husband has moved and we’ve moved together since the loan was originally taken so it was forgotten about because my husband has no idea what change of address or forwarding mail is apparently.

Someone mentioned working from home? Anyone know of any legitimate companies that do that?
