Jacked up knee?

Be

So I already talked to a doctor about this and was blown off. They also want me to exhaust physical therapy and X-rays before they’ll do an MRI. Otherwise, it’s all out of pocket.

I was doing judo back in May and was put into a leg hold. It didn’t hurt too bad at the time but the next day I could barely walk and couldn’t straighten my leg out completely. After 3-4 days I could finally walk fairly normally.

Now, almost 4 months later I’m still having problems. There’s still pain to fully straighten my leg, and hurts if I workout much at all. I’m training for fire academy so I have no choice but to train at least some, though I’ve been going very easy on it this last couple months.

It still feels stiff, yet it feels unstable. If I bend it for more than a few seconds it’s extremely painful to straighten back out. The pain is both in the back of my legs, the sides and the front. To me it sounds like a torn meniscus but that’s only detectable with the MRI I can’t get.

Any more ideas?
