Oh hunny please don't go from 0 to dom/sub relationship! That's asking for a disaster! I was full vanilla (No kink at all) when I met my hubby who is a very kinky Dom. A GOOD Dom (yes there is such a thing as a bad dom) will ease the sub into it and TEACH them to be a sub. If you are full vanilla, this is my suggestion...
Try a LITTLE bit of both lifestyle dom/sub relationship and a LITTLE of bedroom dom/sub play.

I’m in a long distance dom/sub relationship with my boyfriend. I am a sub and have been in the past with other relationships. In ours since it’s long distance he gives me rules to follow. For example everyday I have to send a good morning and goodnight message, as well as in the morning I have to send a picture of my outfit for the day. Me and my dom live together, and have been in a relationship for almost 3 years and have a 24/7 power exchange but we are not TPE (total power exchange). But that's more because there are some things he doesn't feel a desire to control, not because I don't want to give him that level of control. 
I have a ’good girl’ points chart, where he gives me points when I do things like clean house, exercise, take my meds, listen to him well, etc. 
Everyday I do things like call him Daddy, Sir, Wolfie, or refer to him as owner. I have specific tasks I do like I take off his shoes, make his food, and refil his water glass.

I'm a sub and agree with taking things slow.  Even experienced subs should ease into a new relationship.   A good dom will do so.  I have a dominant bf but he's only dominant in the bedroom.   I tried a 24/7 situation with my ex.  I wouldn't mind going that direction again eventually but it wasn't for me and my ex.
