Sugar habit

Throughout my pregnancy I was really good about not eating a ton of sugar. My only sugar I would eat would come from fruit, sour patch watermelon when I had morning sickness (legit one of the only things that constantly helped), and towards the last couple weeks I had my fair share of ice cream. Even after I gave birth, my eating habits weren’t crazy or anything. I’d crave the occasional ice cream or normally something salty. However the past like 2-3 weeks, I was CONSTANTLY craving sugar. Nonstop. Doesn’t matter what it was, I was craving and needing sugar. And I finally hit the point a couple days ago where I realized I needed to kick this habit real quick and find other alternatives to the cravings and cut back my sugar intake. So now I’m only down to 2 small spoonfuls of sugar in my giant coffee, no ice cream, no sweets, etc..

instead if I start getting the craving, I’ll currently have raspberries, strawberries, or frozen mango from Trader Joe’s (best frozen mango ever), and maybe a couple of dark chocolate chips that have next to no sugar. And even when I want lemonade I’m getting the low sugar simply lemonade. So far so good. And I’ll cut back that even and less sugar in my coffee too. But baby steps. Already feeling a little better and not craving sugar sooo hardcore.
