Tattoos and MEPS?

I had a tattoo on my thumb, which was obviously disqualifying me from joining the air force. I’ve had it mostly removed, but some parts are still slightly visible. The question I have, is should I even mention it? Is there any waivers? I just wonder if they even notice, why should I even mention it? What are your experiences?

They do such thorough exams, they found scars on me from years ago that I didn’t even remember I had and wrote it off as self mutilation. Trust me. They CHECK.

Oh trust me they notice. They noticed a tiny skin colored scar by my husbands eye and asked about it they’ll try to get you on anything.

They look you over head to toe and mark all tattoos scars etc. Ask your recruiter they will let you know if you need a waiver or not because the last thing you want to do is have to go to Meps twice
