I’m 19 (almost 20) weeks pregnant and I have been using a doppler about once a week to check on baby. At the 12 week ultrasound her heart rate was 153. Since then, it has consistently been between 148 and 155. It has never been higher or lower than that range since before the 12 week scan. I just had my anatomy scan on Monday and her heart rate was 149.

However tonight I checked on her with the Doppler and found her right away, but her heart rate tonight was as high as 170.. the doppler was not really getting a consistent reading and it was changing around a fair amount, but the numbers were always high.

I am worried baby is in distress or that something is wrong. Has anybody experienced this? I will try the doppler again in ten minutes or so after I have been lying still for a while and see if that makes a difference. If anyone has any ideas or experience with this, please let me know. Thanks!
