Okay so Eminem released a surprise album on Thursday (?) and he’s had a bit of backlash for the use of a homophobic slur aimed towards Tyler the Creator. Some people are saying it’s acceptable to use because a) its a piece of artwork and is equal to the use of a racial slur and b) because it was censored. On the other hand, people are making the point that it is a homophobic slur and should not be used by him at all. Do you think it’s acceptable or is he in the wrong?

I’m biased, as a queer woman I hate the d and f slurs more than anything and the only people who should use them are people of that sexuality that wish to use them. There’s nothing worse to me than straight people using those words, no matter if they are censored or not as the intent of malice is clear as day
