Any second time momma's with more anxiety than with the first?

Maggi

My labor and delivery was not terrible with my dd. The only thing I did struggle with was undiagnosed postpartum PTSD. It sounds so stupid, but during the last few minutes of my 24 hour labor, and 2 and a half hours pushing I had to have a vacuum suction. She was sunny side up, and had a 91st percentile head and I'm 4'10 with a narrow pelvis 😐😂

The first time the doctor placed the vacuum it slipped off my daughter's head and made this god awful POP sound. Everyone else saw what happened so said nothing, however I was on the non-viewing end and thought my daughter's head popped off. The doctor didn't look up right away, but when he did he said, "oh, no. It's okay, it just slipped" I was obviously shaken, and didn't actually remember that memory until she was probably 6+ months old. I had blocked out that moment because I was so frightened.

Now I'm due with baby #2, and slightly terrified of labor 😂 it is so odd to me that I'm carrying a little tiny, moving human. 😂😅 It didn't phase me at all with my dd. I'm losing my mind, people 😂
