What’s your opinion on a female asking a male to marry her?

So me and my partner have been together for almost 3 years, we live together (have since day 1) and we recently had a beautiful baby girl and do plan to have number 2 by the time she’s 2. What’s your opinion on a female asking a male to marry her? And how would I do it?

I’m so madly in love with him and his told me he wants to marry me but he has anxiety and is scared too ask.
