Please help! Abuse?

So this is the first boyfriend I’ve ever lived with, I’m 20, he’s 27. It’s his house. So he’s usually pretty nice I guess but sometimes he flips his shit. Like today he was studying for a quiz for nursing school and I was watching tv so I wouldn’t bug him and he randomly just yells can you just turn the fucking tv down! So I did and then he kept mumbling under his breathe so I just shut it off so he could study. Then he flips out and starts yelling at me for turning it off (mind you im not mad or upset at all, I know he needs to study) and so then he’s yelling at me telling me to go turn it back on and watch it (talking more like a command) and I said it was okay it’s late so I’m gonna take a shower and head to bed and he flips out and slams his fist against the table and asks again why imnot in there watching tv. He does little stuff like this almost daily. Always getting mad at me over stuff and I don’t know it it’s my fault because maybe I should be more stern (kinda scared to be) or if I’m actually messing up help
