PSA: Tips for Losing/Maintaining Weight!
Ladies, staying healthy should be our goal!
This might mean losing, maintaining, or even gaining weight for some of us. Gaining weight isn’t up my alley, but I have some tips for losing and maintain weight for you all.
#1- eat healthy. This is a given, but try your best to stick to it. If it’s hard, stick to dark chocolate or frozen yogurt, or even smaller portions (like a spoon of ice cream).
#2- eat early. I eat dinner at around 5 or 5:30 pm. This means I’m not going to bed with a full stomach, which seriously helps with bloating and weight loss (since you aren’t moving a ton when sleeping, those extra calories become fat!)
#3- don’t starve yourself! This will just make your body want to store any and all calories possible, not to mention it is unhealthy.
#4- eat many smaller meals/snacks. Don’t over eat. The slower you eat, the better since you can feel yourself getting full. This also reduces bloating.
#5- if you want to lose the weight, you have to feel used to not feeling full all the time. Now, I’m not saying don’t eat. I am saying eat smaller amounts at a time and avoid stuffing yourself, especially later in the evening.
#6- drink lots of water! This helps with metabolism and drinking more water has a lot of benefits towards skin care too, which means a freebie confidence boost!
#7- move as much as you can. Maybe kick your legs behind you while doing dishes, get up once in a while when you are watching TV, use the stairs more often, take a walk, or even just the classic gym/sport.
#8- get an accurate scale and measure yourself at the same time every day. It’s best right after you wake up or right before you go to sleep! It might be hard, but you can see what your fluctuations in weight are. I have a 2 pound fluctuation for the most part, although I have been slowly losing weight.
#9- don’t expect immediate results! Doing this the healthy way without huge changes to your lifestyle takes time, but you will feel changes!
Bonus tip- a great way to lose weight are sit ups. Work your way up to 100-200 sit ups a day. It’s tough, but so worth it! If you can keep working at it, you can do 60 in a minute which equals about 2-4 minutes working out. Not bad!!
