Is bleeding in between periods normal?

So I’m a week and a half on a new birth control pill and a week finished with my period. My husband and I had intercourse last night and ever since then I’ve been spotting a bright red color with light/ medium amounts. Is this normal? I’m kind of freaking out!

since youve taken a new birth control pull yes it's normal, it's what they call breakthrough bleeding. it happened to me 2 months ago when I had to take it to shrink a cysts. but when in doubt always call your primary care physician or obgyn

I bleed on and off for almost 1 month straight when I started a new birth control. my dr said it was just my body getting used to the new birth control.
