How far can your 2 year old walk?

How far before they start whining and wanting to be picked up? I feel like my little one refuses to walk in public she either wants to be carried or if she is generous will sit in the stroller. She’ll walk for a maximum of 10 minutes before she gets fed up. This is really hard on me when we go to areas that are not stroller friendly. Please tell me I’m not the only one?

I’m wanting the opposite of you! My son walks so slow and refuses to be held or sit in a car seat. He walks at his own pass as well...slower than a turtle. I’m just patient with him. Just waits until she doesn’t want you to hold her.

Trust me, your not lol. “Please up” is all I ever hear 😂🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ It is hard, for sure, but I keep trying to remember that someday she will be old and won’t ask me to pick her up anymore 😢

Yes! It gets difficult. But sometimes he refuses to let me pick him up. He is stubborn no matter if he wants to “walk on own” or if he says “ I wanna hold you!”. But I have no advice. Haha, sorry. I just try to think of it as a work out.

My daughter was like that at 2. She never wanted to walk for more than a couple minutes before she threw a major fit about being held. Now she’s 3 and a half and will walk a lot further it for a longer time period but still asks to be held from time to time

Lol, our little guy is a runner. So much so I broke a bone in my foot chasing him lol

Does she want to get picked up cause she's tired,  or is it something else? 
I noticed my daughter will walk on her own most of the time, but she gets real shy or anxious around adults especially strangers or people she hasn't seen in awhile. So usually she'll want to get picked up if it seems crowded, or if someone stops to talk to her or us.
