Nightmares while pregnant

Ladies , I have been having the most horrific dreams the past few weeks . One dream , my 6 year old drowned in a frozen pool .. another dream a child was killed in front of me .. and so forth. These dreams are so realistic to where I wake up crying and unable to go back to sleep ... is this normal?!
