Is it frowned upon to have a baby shower with your second?

My first was 5 years ago with a boyfriend at the time. I am now married to another man and we just found out we are pregnant. Is it normal for us  to have baby showers with our families?

I think 5 years is a good space in between, you should be fine! Most people don’t have all the baby stuff left from the first one after 5 years so I can imagine a baby shower would be helpful & a great celebration for y’all families

No i would have had a second one but my kids were close together and both boys so i didnt have to buy anything or do anything for my second i had it all

Some people even call theirs a "baby sprinkle" people can choose to bring gifts or not, but it's just a celebration for the 2nd baby coming into the world.

My mom got mad at me cause i didn't want a babyshower because I'm afraid of what ppl will say 😂 i had a baby shower 2 years ago for my daughter.. 1st girl after 2 boys and 6 years apart.. This time idk what im having yet but we are almost positive its a boy so i will need boy clothes anf just a couple small things so I'm considering a small celebration

Do what you want to! Im having a little get together because we want to celebrate the baby, we dont need or want anything but its an exciting thing to welcome a new baby and every kid deserves to be celebrated. If people feel they need to buy something diapers are great! Or if you need stuff have a full blown shower idk why some people think its such a big deal?

I am pregnant and it’s been 7 years and I don’t want to have a shower lol everyone is different but you should definitely have one if you want one 👍🏻😊

I feel like for a second child it’s more of a welcoming baby number 2 party! I believe you should do what makes you happy! ☺️ and if having another shower then go for it! Who cares what anyone else has to say.

This is my third boy, my husbands first child. My youngest is almost 5. Many people said it would be too tacky. But you know what?! Why doesnt this baby get to be celebrated? I don’t care if they buy us stuff! So traditions need to be changed. You get a shower, you get a shower, EVERY BABY GETS A SHOWER!  Lol
