Pacifier advise

Anybody having issues with the pacifier? Baby falls asleep around 9 pm and sleeps great till midnight or 1 A.M. from then till 4 A.M. or so, he keeps waking up every 30-60 minutes looking for the pacifier. It’s so draining! I know he’s not hungry bc I’ve tried feeding him and he won’t take more than half ounce if that. Have you experienced this? What did you do? I feel bad just taking it away. 😞 he’ll be 5 months in two weeks. Also, I’ve tried the wubbanub type attachment and he just either pulls it with his hand or just comes off when he moves his head to the side. 😞
