Pregnancy health care around the World 🌍

I'm curious to hear what kind of appts/test/ultrasound are being done in your country. Do you pay for them yourself? Needing innsurrance? Some paid, some free? All free? 🤗

I live in Norway, pregnancy related and nessecary checks during the pregnancy is free. If we want an earlier ultrasound with out any "real" reason/concern, we go to a private clinic and pay for it ourself. (Usually between week 7 and 12)

Included in the norwegian pregnancy health "program" is:

First appointment between 6-12weeks.

Second is an ultrasound at aproximately 18 weeks.

And then appointments at 24, 28, 32, 36, 38, 40 and 41 weeks.

You can also get extra if there is a reason like you are concerned, or the health care provider thinks it is nessecary.
