Should I text him??

I’ve been talking to and having sex with this guy over the summer but he sucks at texting and I stopped texting him to see if he would hit me up. He goes days without talking to me and randomly asks to hang out. When we’re together he likes to be really affectionate and cuddle and of course have sex. We pretty much act like a couple but when we’re not together it’s like we’re total strangers. I’ve never dealt with this before but it’s extremely confusing. I asked him to hang out this last weekend but he cancelled and it’s been 2 weeks since we’ve last hung out. Should I drop it and move on or should I continue to try to pursue him? This is SO confusing 😞😩
