Late period

I was wondering when most of y’all decide to take a pregnancy test. I am currently 10 days late and already took 2 ( at 2days & 6 days) both were negative so I’m just in limbo waiting to test agin or get AF.

Also how do you cope with the let down of not being pregnant! This is my first time TTC but it’s so emotional because my fiancé had a son that he lost at 4 months old about a year and a half ago from a previous relationship. I want to make him a father agin so bad and every time I see a BFN I get so let down and he tries to hide it but I can tell it hurts him also.
