Clear discharge

First depo shot was in beginning of June was due for second shot on August 30 but didn't go because I want to conceive. I've been having unprotected sex w my bf a lot and I've been having sharp random pains on the right side and lower abdomen .today I notice I was having dicharge and it was clear. I also had a period ( heavy spotting)for most of August. What could this mean??
