Vbac or c-section? Opinions?
I'm looking for advice/experiences. I had our first daughter 11 months ago via unplanned c-section as she was breech and the hospital did not give an option for breech birth. Not sure I would have wanted to attempt it anyway. I healed very well from it and had no complications and baby was completely healthy.
Fast forward to today and I'm now 19 weeks 1 day with our second and so excited to have close siblings. My midwife has said I'm a great candidate to attempt a vbac birth in February. She said it's up to me obviously if I want to do a vbac or repeat c-section. I meet with an obgyn in a couple weeks to go over options and discuss what I want to do.
I guess my question is what would you do or have done? I'm nervous about a vbac because of the possibly chance of uterine rupture or complications and then having an emergency c-section. A part of me is more comfortable with a repeat because I know what to expect and healing, etc.
What would you do? I just don't want to fully labor again like I did with my first just to have to have a c-section and have a harder time healing since my body went through both the trauma of labor and then another section. I've hear planned c-sections are easier to heal from at times? Another part of me wants to do a vbac to attempt the natural birth I've always wanted.
