Will they be able to hear the heartbeat or will send me back for another ultrasound?

I have a doctors appointment Monday, and I will be 9 weeks and 6 days. I know a lot of people say they cannot hear the heart beat with the Doppler until closer to 12 weeks. If they can’t hear if will they send me back for an ultrasound???

I was transvaginal  at 6w4d and heard and saw a heartbeat .

Dr said you need to be 10 weeks for it to be heard with a regular Doppler. They didn’t hear mine (I was only 9 weeks 3 days) so they sent me back for an ultrasound.

You should be able to hear it at the doctors office. Their Doppler’s are more sofisticarse than out at home ones. I heard my first sons heartbeat at 6w2d and I heard this babies heart beat at 7w2d

You should hear a hear beat at 9 weeks. I heard mine at 7

Which country are you in? In the UK they don't try at the first appointment as it's not always able to be found and can cause unnecessary stress. It was be seen on an ultrasound from around 5 weeks, but hearing it on a Doppler is harder. Here they wait until the 16 week appointment to listen.
