Ovulation early

My period ended on August 28. According to bbt, cm, and opk I ovulated on September 5th which would be day 13...Usually my cycle lasts 35-40 days so I feel ovulating on day 13 is really early. Has anyone else ever ovulated that early in a cycle and period doesn’t come until 3 weeks later?
