Iud removal and bleeding

Hi guys. So I had my iud removed on Tuesday. I have had an iud consistently for 4 years. I did not bleed the day it was removed or yesterday but this morning I woke up and the flood gates have opened 🙃 is it normal to have so much bleeding? I don’t have clots, I don’t have cramps, and I don’t feel nauseous or anything. It’s like I am having the heaviest period ever. Did anyone ever experience this and when did it stop?
