Does drinking a lot of liquids effect your pregnancy test

So my period is now 3 days late my breasts have just started to become sore, which they usually do about a week before my period but this is pretty late for me. I wanna try testing right now but I just had a large drink and I don’t want to end up with a iffy result cuz these tests are expensive. Should I wait a few hours or just go for it?

negative.  I guess I’m just really late. If I don’t get my period in the next week I guess I’ll try another test.
