Do I go on letrozole?

My GP has suggested putting me on Lerozole as suspects I may have pcos due to high amh levels until I get referred to a fertility specialist pending testorone blood test. She said she has not dealt with a lot of pcos cases and letrozole. She thinks this may be more helpful that metformin. Do I trust her to go on this or should i wait to see a fertility expert which may take some time?

My gynecologist prescribed Letrozole in 2015 and on the 2nd month, I conceived my son. Now she prescribed it again to hopefully conceive baby 2 since we have been trying for 6 months and had 1 miscarriage. It didn't give me any side effects and I have no reservations since she is also a fertility specialist. So maybe see a obgyn and not your gp since they aren't too familiar. I was also diagnosed with PCOS at 14 and confirmed by this doctor when I was 25.

Thanks for sharing your experience. i am awaiting testosterone blood results and take it from there. i am tempted just to go on letrozole as not sure how long the wait will be,
