What were your symptoms of pre-eclampsia?

I’m 14 weeks and terrified of pre-eclampsia once I’m 20 weeks. I have anxiety about this and an incompetent cervix, and everything else that can go wrong but in general I’m scared of this the most. When I’m at 20 weeks what should I look for? What symptoms I go to the hospital for?

My symptoms were my feet swelled a little bit which made it hard to stand & for walk for long periods of time, I was seeing what docs claim as "floating spots or shooting white stars" but i just say either seeing white spots or black spots in my vision & I had a blood pressure that kept rising. You just need to relax and keep your fluids up. If they feel you have preeclampsia they'll monitor you either by getting you to hospital earlier then you expected, get you to go to the hospital a few times a week to make sure everything okay with you & bub or they'll get you to see the gp for it.

At 39 week I wait to my doctor’s appointment and my blood pressure was up high.  They make we wait 10 minutes checked again and it was still high. I didn’t have a headache or anything like that.  They watched me for 45 minutes as we were leaving I got up had a head.  Told my doctor was taken to the hospital. Watched there for an hour.  My doctor said I was staying over night.  Did a 24 hours urine test had protein in it but not very high.  He come back say I had to chose go home for the night get everything I needed and come back in the morning or induce labor now.  I choose to go home for the night get everything I needed try to get some sleep. Didn’t happen and eat a good dinner. Happy I did. I was i the hospital for 5 days after.  12 hours in labor had a c-section.  My son heart rate keep going down and was not progressing past 5cm. He is a very happy 14 month old now.  I don’t think it’s as common as people think.  Some just get it some don’t.  My sil has it over night at 27 weeks. She had no headache just very high blood pressure.  Like very high.  Her and her little are very healthy and happy.

I had no symptoms until 36 weeks. Then, just high blood pressure. I never had any other classic preeclampsia symptoms.

I was very dizzy, had blurred vision and had the worst headache of my life. I went to the ER and they told me I had pre eclampsia. I had to deliver at 22 weeks because it got so bad. If you get any weird symptoms I’d check with your dr right away. Better safe than sorry

Your dr checks your urine at every visit, if there is protein in your urine then you would be at risk.. sometimes there are no symptoms of preeclampsia..

Mine just turned up overnight. I was retaining so much water, my BP went way up, I got a headache, and I just felt off. Was induced the next day at 37+4, had the baby two days later.
