TMI??

I'm in so much pain 😭😭 going on day 4 with hemorrhoids and they don't seem to be going away. Been using prep-H and tucks pads and epsom salt baths and sitz baths and nothing's helped. And to top it off seems like my whole vagina is swollen. #36weeks

Are you taking magnesium?? I have a history of hemorrhoids so my midwives recommended I take magnesium to prevent them and I’ve been good this whole pregnancy!

its all the pressure from the baby. I've had a small one for over a month. doc said prob won't go away until weeks after baby is born.

Ok I might get crap for this. And I haven’t had to try it myself yet.  But one of my older residents at work told me that when she got them while pregnant, she would put Vick’s on them. She said it burned for a couple minutes, but it was like that “good” burn. And that the pain then went away. And that’s what she’s been doing for 70-something years, and has always worked🤷🏼‍♀️

I feel ya.... my experience has been that they are bad for 1-2 weeks and then things get better. After about a week of “intensive” treatment when they are the worst, I backed off on the prep h and witch hazel. I read somewhere that even though these things help you feel better, after a while it might just  be irritating them further. Mine haven’t gone away completely and probably won’t without a procedure after birth but they are much better now! Good luck! We’re almost there!

My experience with hemmroids when they act up really bad is nothing soothes them sadly, although mine usually arent painful past 1 week. You could try anusol crean I dont know if that would give you any relief at all, good luck and I feel your pain!
