Cyst bursting?

Question

Could a cyst be bursting? I felt cramping like pain on left side of adomen.  Feels like one sided really bad menstrual cramps. And now the pain has migrated to the back. My period is not due for a while so I know it's not that. The pain has come on suddenly and it's been a couple minutes now?

I recently experienced this and went to the ER because it was on my right side and thought it was appendicitis due to how painful it was. I had a 3.3cm cyst on my right ovary that burst. If you’re feeling it in your side then your back that’s probably what it is. Dr said that’s usually what happens with this

I get this every few months.. it’s so painful I struggle to walk. Doctors told me it’s normal for some women with pcos and to just take pain medication every 4 hours, if you’re super concerned and pain meds don’t touch it then consult to your GP -Or even ring the out of hours for advice
