Okay, so hear me out

I had this on and off friend for about ten years. We never stayed “friends” for longer than two years at a time.

We reconnected about three years ago, and I met her (at the time) husband.

During this time I also started dating someone and got pregnant. This friend stopped speaking to me (and speaking poorly about me behind my back) when i announced my pregnancy and told her I was keeping the baby (she told me to abort).

My daughter is eight months old and I left her father before she was three weeks old. He had become very abusive while I was pregnant and threatened my life, my cats life and most importantly my daughters life.

About two months ago I reconnected with my former friends now ex husband. He and I were always close and had become good friends before his ex wife and i stopped talking.

He and i have hung out many times, enjoyed each other’s company and realized we mesh very well together.

Has anyone had experiences with anything similar? Are we insane?
