Who should pay for a paternity test if the paternity comes into question

Cailin • No, I don’t have anything better to do.

Say a woman is pregnant and a man wants a paternity test. Who should pay for that? I believe they cost quite a bit if done while pregnant. So in this scenario, the woman is compliant, as her participation is required, but she doesn’t want to pay. Does it matter if she says she knows it’s him? Obviously she could be lying but he might be wanting to do the test out of spite if they break up or something. Would it matter if she’s questioning the paternity as she thinks it could be one or the other? And this could apply to when the baby is born, as well. I just said while pregnant for some reason.

*No “slut shaming.” Thanks.*

** oh and “seeking father” means just the one or more who is wanting to know
