i want to come out...

One of my best friends recently came out to my mom (she was talking to a girl and my mom asked if it was her 'bf' and my friend didn't have the ability to lie to my mom I guess) and all my fears about how coming out to my mom would go were proven false, but yet I'm still afraid... I feel like I should just go for it because I really want to and I feel like she would be accepting, I just don't know how or when I should do it. Does anyone have any advice??
