Telling siblings about baby?

Hello!
When did or do you guys plan on telling your other kids that a baby is on the way? 
My husband and I go back and forth about letting them know to wanting to hold out a little while because it’s still so early.

Me and my partner have decided not to tell our kids till we have our scan I’m currently 5/6 weeks all because a year ago we had a miscarriage and we had told them as soon as we found out we were expecting and it was heartbreaking to tell them that they were no longer getting a brother or a sister.

My son is 4, he’ll be almost 5 when this baby is born. We are taking him to the first appointment with us and he will be there for the first scan. That morning we will talk to him about it a bit to prepare him. I want him to be very involved in this process because I believe siblings are very important to each other, it’s “his baby” too, and I don’t keep secrets from him. I’m hoping that being very involved will help him bond with his little.
That being said, I’m not going to harp on it. From now till May is an eternity for a little kid - it won’t be something we talk about all the time unless he wants to. We will talk about it more starting probably 2 months before baby is due. Start reading books, having him help prepare, etc.

We usually wait until we’re ready for everyone else to know, towards the end of the first trimester. I’m usually showing by then and can’t hide it anymore anyways. We like to make sure we’ve have a good ultrasound and everything.

Mine only knows because he told me. For the week before I found out, he was telling me I had a baby in my belly. I've sort of confirmed since, though I am super nervous about getting his hopes up. I would wait if you can. He kept asking me after I found out and I was really sick one day and somehow confirmed it and he wouldn't stop asking questions. I still have no idea what I said. 😂

I think it depends on the ages, I told my 18 month old, thinking, she won’t get it... but now she constantly pats my tummy and says “Bebe, aww Bebe” haha! I love it and am nervous other people will see!
