My turn!

Kaylee • Blair 🌈 9.18.2018

So I started having contractions Sunday night, but they weren't consistent or strong enough to go in. They were on and off all night with no change in timing or pain. Untillllll! About 930am Monday morning, when they started to get so painful I couldn't breathe through them.

So hubby and I came into L&D and I immediately got checked, and was only at 2cm 😒 so my awesome nurse called my Dr., who refused to induce me until my scheduled date, which is today 😂 he said I could labor at the hospital for a while with some pain meds, walk around, or labor at home.

I chose to walk around my room and the L&D department until I was in so much pain from contractions that I got a pain shot. The nurse checked me- I was at a 4! So she hooked me up to fluids, which took forever and lots of jabs because my veins suck ass, got the ball rolling on my epidural labs, and told me I wasnt leaving the hospital without my baby girl!

I got my epidural, and they actually gave me a spinal block just in case I needed to have an emergency C-section. Which was totally fine with me because my contractions were getting worse and worse. They had me rolling every 30 mins to keep the medicine even, and on one of my rolls the tape came off my back and my catheter for the wonderful amazing spinal block came out without me knowing 😭 so of course I got back labor from hell, my contractions had me yelling through them!

They redid my epidural with just a full epidural and I felt soooo much better. However even though I'm exhausted, I can't sleep 😒 every contraction has my B Bear rotating her head and causing massive amounts of pressure in my pelvis and butt.

I got checked again when my night nurse came in to roll me, and no changes beyond her head being a little lower. So they will start me on pitocin at 5:30am like planned!

Please keep me in your wishes and prayers, I am a bundle of nerves right now, being a first time mommy. Once I have her I will post pictures of my baby monkey! ❤❤

UPDATE: Sorry it took so long to update, I have been in baby heaven 😍 My Blair was born Tuesday the 18th, at 1:24pm. She weighed 7lbs 10oz, and 19in long! Her birth was...for sure not boring. She had a bowel movement while she was in utero, and when the Dr pulled her out she was dripping in meconium. We call her our little butt baby because the Dr had to keep reminding me to push with my butt 😭 I pushed non stop for an hour and a half, because my body wouldn't stop pushing. We got home Thursday night, because I hemorraghed pieces of placenta and blood clots, so they needed to keep a close eye on me. But we are home now and it has been so amazing! She is such a smart, alert little girl ❤ baby tax below!
