Newborn clogged tear ducts or something else?

We have a doctors appointment tomorrow, but I don’t know if I should call and try and get in today. Every time he goes to sleep and wakes up his eye looks like this. He is only 11 days old.

Take a warm washcloth and massage the inner corner of his eye and then wipe the yellow stuff away. My son had that for the first 3.5-5 weeks after birth and the doctor said it’s totally normal.

Looks like it, I usually took a q tip with warm water on it and cleaned the goop off then took a warm water wash cloth and massaged his inner corner a little, I’ve also heard a little drop of breastmilk can help

My 4 wo went through this too!!! It's just now going away, but like others have said, I took a warm wash cloth and massaged her tear ducts and cleaned them up. She's now starting to produce tears instead of gunk.

My son had the same thing. Like bellow the comment do use warm wash cloth and follow what they saw. But also the magic is the breast milk. With my son it went away real fast as soon as I used the Brest milk as an eye drop inside the eye. After each feeding I drop some milk in his eye. One two three and went away.
